Wow another year has flown by, and it’s been massive, ending on December 31st with the release of my first book, The Alkaline Reset Cleanse!
And this year, while writing and developing the book, I’ve also developed a lot of especially delicious, incredibly powerful alkaline recipes. And these are the pick of the bunch (I ranked them based on popularity, with a sprinkle of my own personal preference!).
A mix of juices, smoothies, dinners, breakfasts, sides – there’s something for everyone 🙂

The Three-Minute Detox Tea I Drink Daily
If you are feeling fatigued, sluggish and in need of a kick-start I recommend giving my Detox Tea a try. Your body could be crying out for this!
This detox tea is one of my favourite little hacks to get a big boost of detoxifying, anti-inflammatory and alkaline nutrients into my body. It takes minutes, literally, to make and tastes so good!
It is a very quick solution that helps support your liver, kidneys, gut, brain, hormones and more…and it uses only powdered spices and water (and a quick squeeze of lemon), so it’s really cost effective too!
Why Is the Detox Tea So Effective?
The recipe is simple to make, but it packs a punch with some of the most powerful ingredients Mother Nature has provided us with. As I always say – your body is amazing – and when you give it the tools (nutrients) it needs, it will rebuild, rebalance and thrive. The combination of your body + Mother Nature is abundantly powerful.
The Keto-Alkaline Power Smoothie
The ketogenic lifestyle and the alkaline lifestyle are actually really similar. They both focus on lots of healthy fats, lots of green foods and plants, lots of natural whole foods, limited sugar, no gluten and generally the ‘just eat real food’ approach. Of course there’s arguably more animal protein in the mainstream interpretation of the keto approach (and you can eat meat and be alkaline too by the way) – however, it is easy to be following an alkaline lifestyle and be in ketosis to the tune of 2-3 mmol of ketones.
And this smoothie is a huge help in the morning!
The Thyroid Restoring Smoothie
This fat-rich, anti-inflammatory, high-alkaline smoothie is not only absolutely delicious (and quick to make), but it’s absolutely perfect for your thyroid health.
Whether you’re struggling with hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism (or any other endocrine imbalance, this is amazing for your adrenals, pancreas, bones and brain too!) this smoothie will give your body a big helping hand in regaining that balance and restoring the ability of your thyroid to receive the correct signals and create and regulate T3 and T4 and all of it’s other critical functions.

But then, that’s the motto for all my recipes – simple, quick, everyday ingredients and delicious of course.
One of my key strategies to make the alkaline diet as easy and effortless as possible for you is delicious recipes that can be used in a bunch of different dishes, and to make any plain and simple veggie dish (be it roast veggies, steamed veggies, grilled veggies, a salad and so on) interesting and so much more filling. And of course, if used on a gluten-free pasta – it’s the perfect alfredo sauce!
This is most definitely a new fave.
It’s fat rich, a great source of vitamin C, K, B6 and B2 from the cauliflower; the powerful antibiotic power of oregano; and the anti-inflammatory, anti-cancer power of the garlic.
The Ultimate Gluten-Free Bread Recipe
I absolutely adore this recipe. I’ve adapted it from about four different gluten-free bread recipes over the years (my first ever being this pumpkin bread from 2006!) and I feel like this is close to perfection now.
It’s a gluten-free bread recipe that’s EASY (priority #1), that tastes GREAT (priority #1.1), that the kids LOVE (priority #2, finding snacks the kids love all the time can get exhausing – how many times a day does your kid say to you “I’m hungry, what can I eat…!!!”) AND it’s full of brilliant health benefits too:
- Of course…it’s ALKALINE
- It’s packed with healthy fats from the seeds, nuts, chia, almond butter and coconut oil
- The healthy fats are also massively anti-inflammatory
- The psyllium husks not only do the job of ‘glue’ like gluten in the loaf, but they are also a source of soluble and insoluble fibre so are amazing for your digestive health
- It is also packed full of fibre, folate, vitamin E, B vitamins, manganese, zinc, various antioxidants and so much more.
In short – it’s easy, quick, gluten-free, delicious and super-nutrient-dense!
The Perfect Alkaline Weight Loss Oats
If you’re looking to lose weight, I want you to FORGET CALORIES. Calories are an fine measure for a lot of things, but really, they’re a far too simplistic, inaccurate, arbitrary measure for losing weight.
When you lose weight by calorie restricting you not only have a horrible, deprived, hungry, hangry, moody life…but you’re also setting yourself up for the type of weight loss that is scientifically proven to fail…and to bounce back (with interest).

And this alkaline breakfast is a huge help, because:
