Alkaline Recipe #25 Spicy Alkaline Summer Soup

avocado & tomato soup

Spicy Alkaline Summer Soup!

Another fantastic soup to be enjoyed chilled, or just slightly warmed. Perfect for summer! I love this soup because of the tangy spice it gives, making it a bit different from the other alkaline soups!

Ingredients
Serves 2

1 1/2 Cucumbers
7 Tomatoes
3 large handfuls of spinach
1 Avocado
1.5 Inch chunk of fresh ginger
1 red chilli
250ml vegetable stock (cooled)
1/2 lime or lemon juice
2 tablespoons of olive oil, avocado oil or Udo’s Choice
Salt & Pepper to taste

Directions

Chop up the cucumbers, tomatoes, avocado, ginger and chilli. Now place all of the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth! If you want to have this soup warm, just warm it gently. It should never be so hot that you couldn’t put your finger in it – so never boil!

Enjoy!

    Avocado
    Carrot
    Jalapeno
    Cilantro
    Ginger
    Broccoli
    Green Onion

Blend it all in the Vita-Mix Blender. Add some chunky sauce for a change in texture and top with a few raw flax crackers if you like.

    Hi Ross,
I have tried this soup and it is absolutely delicious. Warming it up slightly brings up a bit the salty flavours without loosing that raw-goodness.
I have two questions for you regarding the ph-ion detox products.

    1) Is there an alternative for the gelatine capsules you use in your products? My vegetarian friends cannot do your detox plan for that reason, and it is my opinion we should not use processed foods like gelatin in prodcuts that are suppose to be the start of a life style free from processed foods and industrialised ingredients.

    2) are your detox plans suitable for pregnancy? Alkaline diet seems to be wonderful for everybody, but would you recommend a mum-to-be go throught the colon cleanse for example?

    Thank you for your time.
    All the best
