No More Tony Robbins in the UK…Ever

london

Or at least, that’s the way it looks.

I know we’ve been hearing it from the event organisers for YEARS, but this time I think it really is true. Usually it is announced by the organisers at each UPW and I’ve always taken it as a bit of a sales pitch for the next event (oh, so the next one is the last one is it? Better get me some tickets then).

But having worked with the guys that promote UPW in Europe for a couple of years I am absolutely certain that this is the real deal. The promoters in Australia are also saying the same over there and I had never known them to cry wolf on this before…

The other thing that confirmed it for me was hearing Tony talk at Date with Desitny in Australia this past April about how knackered his throat is. He could hardly talk at times and looked in pain, and lets be honest, he has been doing this stuff for a looooong time now and probably deserves to chill for a while.

So what now?!

I know I am personally gutted that I didn’t go to more UPW’s in the last couple of years because it looks like I’d have to go to the USA to go to another now.

BUT…on the plus side (change of state there!) there are still some kick-ass events coming up. The first of which is UPW: The Next Step. This event looks like a lot of fun and I know that the UK-based Energise guys are pretty pumped about going.

joseph mcclendonIts a 3 day seminar run by Joseph McClendon III (remember him? He is the awesome, enthusiastic guy who runs day 4 of UPW).

We have managed to snag a handful of tickets to offer Energise customers (because we’ve always done a good job for the promoters over here) so here are some more details if you are interested in it.

I think it looks like a great weekend and is bound to be heaps of fun. If I were in the UK I would be there in a flash! At Date with Destiny I definitely appreciated the smaller crowd and the more hands-on, exercise led approach of these Mastery University events and The Next Step follows in this vein. I believe there are only 1,500 attendees and when you consider that UPW is nearly 12,000 it is quite a difference!

It is also pretty interesting in that it is applying Tony’s technologies to areas such as The Law of Attraction and The Secret so it is all new material and pretty groundbreaking stuff.

So while I’m still pretty gutted that Tony is finally winding down, I am so happy to see that not only Joseph, but Tony’s other Master Trainers such as Joe Williams are leading events across Europe and Australia. Joe was absolutely amazing at Date with Destiny – and apart from Tony himself, I have never seen someone with the ability to get a crowd so pumped. If you get a chance to see Joe (he does Wealth Mastery and is also doing a number of Presentation Training events in Oz) then definitely do so. He’s a cool guy!

So anyway, every cloud has a silver lining. And who knows, after a recovery year or five Tony might be back…but in the mean time lets keep on taking things to the next level!

EDIT: Tony has announced he is going to be running a UPW in Italy this year. I will blog on this in a few days time! (13/01/09)

Do you think that it would be okay to do Date with Destiny before UPW?? It is the only one I could do with my schedule at the moment but I’m unsure whether I might be a bit lost without having done UPW first…
If anyone has done both and has any input that would be fantastic! Really want to do one of these but if I don’t do Date with Destiny in December I’m not sure when I’ll have the chance again for a while!

I have been to Tony’s events as well as Joseph’s and I have to say they are both great. They are different, but for sure equally worth the money. Some people I went with even thought Joseph’s style appealed to them more. It is a different approach and the content of both was equally mindblowing! I have bought tickets again for both Tony in NY and Joseph in London and Switzerland. If he was not worth the money, I would not go back again, they both ROCK!

      Hey Lesley

Were you at the Z Factor in Montreux back in May?

Tony is the man. I get so much from just listening to his CDs and watching youtube videos. Can’t wait till i get the opportunity to see him live.

Focus, believe, and take mega action. Any time I don’t feel motivated I just put him on. Now all I need to do is learn to hit the switch myself.

It seems like Tony is comming to Europe with UPW in 2009 – this time he will be in Rome… So all hope is not out for those who never have seen him, or for us who just love attending UPW!

Well, the last week’s Next Step seminar in London absolutely ROCKED!!!
And Tony might still have his last seminar in Europe next year, not London though…

Maybe Sav is a bitter ex-employee who defrauded me out of 20,000 GBP and he is trying to ruin it for the rest of the people who truly want to better themselves and continue receiving the top tools to improve their life!

    Hi Sav

I hear your concerns, but you’re clearly going on what you’ve heard rather than what you know.

His throat certainly is, you could hear it at Date With Destiny back in April and he was getting Joe Williams to run quite a few of the sessions.

Not that it was an issue because Joe is GREAT!

I think he is just tired, getting older and wanting to scale back a bit.

I wouldn’t rule out another couple of one off events, but maybe after a few years break.

    Is Tony Robbins ill ???

    Hi Sav

I hear your concerns, but you’re clearly going on what you’ve heard rather than what you know.

Joseph McClendon has been Tony’s sidekick, master trainer and has run the fourth day of UPW for years. This guy really knows his stuff and as someone who has been to events that he has run before I can assure you he totally kicks ass.

The other point is that the content of this course is actually different to that of UPW. I’d recommend you go to both. This isn’t intended to be a UPW but worse. It is different, and has a different approach.

The cost of UPW in the USA is still at the very cheapest 600pounds. I’d expect flights to be 5-600 pounds at least. Then accommodation? Could be anything really.

I’m not wanting to compare and say where is best to spend your money, because if you have never been to UPW and have the resources to get over to the States then DO IT! It would be FANTASTIC.

But this course is different so you can’t really compare, and to try and compare anyone to Tony would be unfair. But that is not to say that Joseph is not worth seeing and enjoying. The guy is so smart and he really gets you pumped, so don’t just write him off because his name isn’t Tony Robbins.

Anyway, we’re all entitled to our opinions, I just worry that you’re posting someone elses.

    Have a great day

    Hey Amit!

Long time, no blog contact! How’s things?

It is a shame! Was UPW in Sydney this weekend and would have loved to have gone along, but after Date with Destiny I think I had my fix for the mo. Still got plenty from that week to be working on!

Next Step looks like it is going to be a great weekend though, Joseph is a crazy guy – really knows how to get a message across!

Hoping to be blogging a little more often now so hope to see you stop by again soon!

Take it easy and have a great weekend

It certainly is a shame that we won’t be seeing Tony in the UK again but I remember at the last one you could tell that his voice was going.

I’m going to look into the The Next step event and who knows that may be even more powerful! 😉
