Delicious Detoxifying Salad Dressing: Avocado, Cilantro & Lime

This is a super-fast, incredibly delicious, hugely nutrient-dense alkaline detox salad dressing!

The combination of nutrients is almost perfect, I LOVE it.

You get:

  • The powerful detox and alkaline power of the cilantro
  • The glutathione antioxidant power and healthy fats of the avocado
  • The anti-viral potency of the raw garlic
  • And the alkalinity of the lemon

These ingredients are proven to support the detoxification pathways in the body, and thus allow for more efficient processing of the toxins in our everyday life.

Oh, and it’s absolutely delicious and takes about 3 minutes.

Give this one a try and let me know how you go in the comments below!

Creamy Alkaline Salad Dressing

Detox Salad Dressing: Ingredients

1/2 avocado
Juice of 1 fresh lime
1 spring onion (also called green onion, salad onion, scallion – looks like this)
Small bunch of cilantro
1 clove of raw garlic
A glug of flax or avocado oil

Instructions:

Simply blend everything together – the avocado, onion, cilantro, and garlic until as smooth as you like. I quite like it a little chunky, but you can go super-smooth by adding more oil or a little water if you like.

If you want to add a little chilli to spice things up that works too! I usually do 🙂

That’s all there is to it!

Enjoy!

This will keep in the fridge for 2-3 days, but be sure to put it in an airtight container and drizzle a little oil over the top before you store to help aid the freshness.

Note: Again, no one recipe in and of itself can help you to cleanse or detox, but the intent is rather to provide nutrients that support the detoxification organs in your body. Want another? Try my 3-Minute Alkaline Detox Tea recipe too!

Ross, I have read that you should consume 1 gram of protein for every kilo you weigh, eg 100 kg person should consume 100g of of protein per day. How do you get that much protein into an alkaline diet? Many thanks.

    • ross Reply

Unless you are seriously lifting a lot of heavy weights daily, 100g of protein for 100kg body weight is astronomically high. If you’re living a normal life, even if exercising daily, 40-50g is still a fairly high amount, and that is very easily achieved on an alkaline diet.

Hi Ross how do I convert grams to cups please? Thanks

I am very interested in your cook books, but I dont want an ebook. I want an actual physical book that I can go to at any time. I cant do that on my phone or computer and these new printers are horrific with ink.

That’s probably not coming out til 2022.

Where is the lime in the recipe? Or is it supposed to say lemon in the title?

Hi Ross, I emailed you once before, but it ended in miscommunication and an email that went to my spam so I did not know that your enthusiastic staff had signed me up for a webinar. I bought your book three weeks before Thanksgiving and actually loved the cleanse. I have been alkaline since and even done the cleanse a second time. It suits me extremely well. I have learned a whole new way of eating and cooking and I feel wonderful. I do not really require motivation, but rather communication and more information from you to enhance what I am doing. Is your boot camp the appropriate venue for me? I would be delighted to join if it is.With much appreciation, Meredith
