This week we have been able to track down some more blog posts from the world of natural health, which we have found interesting and believe you should know about.
We hope you enjoy reading these blog posts and wish you a great weekend!
- Scientists say higher vitamin D intake will slash cancer, MS, and diabetes risk by half. Dr Eddy has published this blog post on his website, which is extremely interesting. In findings just published in the journal Anticancer Research, scientists at the University of California (UC) San Diego School of Medicine and Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha have reported that most people need a much higher intake of vitamin D. According to this report, that simple step added to your life could slash your risk of developing serious diseases — including cancer — by about 50 percent. - Added Sugar = Added Pounds. Jon Barron, who is an alternative health expert on natural health remedies & dietary supplements, has written a great blog post about In our increasingly processed nutritional world, we seem to be using a lot of added sugar to impart the sweetness these days. In fact, a new study shows that for the past 30 years, we have been eating more foods with added sugar and, correspondingly, our weight has increased as well. This is a real problem and is putting an immense pressure on our health systems, as obesity levels are constantly increasing. Have a look at his blog post here.
- Boosting Broccoli’s Anti-Cancer Effect. We all know how healthy and alkalising broccoli is and it is therefore great to read this blog post from Dr Weil in which he highlights the range of health benefits including its anti-cancer effects. Click here to read his full post.
We are having a little break for the next two weeks as the Friday health & diet blog round-up falls onto two bank holidays, but check back again in three weeks time.
Til then we wish you a great Easter break!
