Gut Hormone Balance Juice

This juice is really important.   As we talked about in our guide earlier in the week, our hormones are messengers that tell our bodies what to do. They regulate everything from our moods to our metabolism. When our hormones are out of balance, it can lead to all sorts of problems.

There Are So Many Essential Hormones MADE in the Gut

We often think of hormones being made/regulated by parts of the endocrine system like the thyroid, adrenals, hypothalamus, pituitary, and so on. But many essential hormones are actually made in our digestive system.

For instance, serotonin (the feel good hormone) is made in our gut. In fact, about 95% of our serotonin is found there.

If you’re not producing enough serotonin, it can lead to depression, anxiety, and sleep problems. That’s why probiotics are so important for gut health. Probiotics help to increase serotonin production.

Another important hormone made in the gut is gastrin, which stimulates the release of stomach acid. Hydrochloric acid (HCL) is required for proper digestion and absorption of nutrients. HCL also kills harmful bacteria and parasites that we may have ingested.

If you don’t have enough HCL, you may experience bloating, gas, belching, and general digestive discomfort after eating. You may also be more susceptible to infection.

A third hormone made in the gut is cholecystokinin (CCK). CCK signals the release of bile and digestive enzymes from the pancreas. Bile emulsifies fats so that they can be properly digested and absorbed. Digestive enzymes break down carbohydrates, proteins, and fats so that our bodies can use them for energy.

If you don’t have enough CCK, you may experience fat malabsorption and digestive problems after eating fatty foods.

And then there is ghrelin. Ghrelin is produced in the stomach and small intestine. It increases appetite and has been shown to play a role in body weight regulation.

If you have too much ghrelin, you will be more likely to overeat, feeling constantly hungry.

And when we zoom out just a little more, there is the pancreas. When it comes to hormones, the pancreas is a powerhouse. It produces enzymes that help with digestion, and it also produces several hormones, including insulin – and we know all about how essential the insulin/glucose balance it.

I LOVE This Green Juice

This Gut Hormone Balancing Juice contains specific nutrients to heal, balance, and repair the areas of the digestive system that support these hormones.  It’s also very, very tasty!

Having a green juice like this once a day will not only support your hormone health, but it’s also powerfully alkaline, anti-inflammatory, and full of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, chlorophyll and other important nutrients.

    Hi there Ross 😊
Are you able to tell me if this is a good drink for Small Intestine Bacterial overgrowth? My dear mother has this and when she has a wrong food she gets a relapse. This sends her into atrial fibrillation, abdominal pain with bloating . She has to change her complete way of eating….thank you very much

    Hello,
I’ve been suffering rhinitis for several years now with nearly yearly surgeries. Which juice is good for rhinitis conditions?

    Hi Ross,
I have loved having you in my life, and many people have benefitted from my sharing of your alkaline way with them, including my wife who has lost an incredible amount of weight! In addition she has turned her blood sugar around, thereby curing herself of diabetes! She went from a blood sugar range of the high 290’s for nearly a year that she was keeping track, to,(I kid you not), 140 the first week we did a 30 day alkaline boot camp on our own in 2020. Her weight has come down from 240 to 172, where she is maintaining on her way to losing 30 more pounds. She has gone from a category of morbidly obese to just being fat. Her A1c at her physical this past January was 5.4! She had previously been diagnosed as diabetic, of course. So, I just want to “Thank You” for being here and giving us all of this awesomely good information and knowledge.
In regards to this recipe, I do have a question. I am very sensitive to high histamine foods and spinach is one of the ones I have immediate gut feedback to. What green can I substitute in this recipe to give me the nutrient equivalent of spinach, please?
And again, Thank You so very much. You have changed my life and health(which wasn’t horribly bad), and helped me to bring glorious health to others I love in my life.
