Hi all – every day I (Ross) answer somewhere between 10-50 alkaline diet questions that land in my inbox. It’s something I love doing and I recently realised I should be sharing some of the best!

Just like with my massive World’s Biggest Alkaline Diet Webinar™ where I answered over a hundred questions from my subscribers on video – EVERYONE benefitted from the answers.

Hi Ross

I am very interested in the alkaline diet and it all seems to make sense especially when compared to the standard “American Diet”.

I have a question about the association with “Dr.” Robert O Young, however.

In my research it seems his background and credentials are questionable at best, as well as his ‘medical’ positions.

Since you seem to reference him quite a bit, I would like to know if you have looked into these claims against Mr. Young’s credibility in the area of nutrition.

Hey Susan

Fantastic that you’re doing your research!

I recommend everyone to ensure that every change they make to their lifestyle is something that makes sense to them and they don’t just follow things at face value!

With regards to your question, I’d say this – Dr Young is a nutritionist and microbiologist. He is probably the most experienced person I have ever come across when it comes to the cause and effect relationship between certain foods, lifestyle choices and our health.

His work with seriously ill people is incredible.

However, with all experts, websites and suggestions I would sense check everything you read to make sure you believe the fundamentals of what is being said. You have to ensure it makes sense to you.

I truly believe that the alkaline approach makes absolute sense (as you’ve said) and therefore I don’t actually need someone who is a medical doctor to tell me to:

– eat loads of vegetables, high water content foods
– get lots of oils
– be well hydrated
– exercise daily
– live stress free
– avoid junk food, lots of meats, dairy, trans fats, take aways, ready meals, chips, chocolate etc.

It sits really easily with me to follow this protocol and it’s made me feel fantastic (even though I’m a little jet lagged right now!).

Finally, those who are discrediting him (or trying) seem, generally, to have a motive. What do these people think is a healthy lifestyle if it’s not the above?
